Keep on running… Christmas is coming! No, we’re not talking about the gift rush (even if it is rather ineluctable!) but about real races along the streets of those magical Garda Trentino towns like Riva del Garda and Torbole!
GARDA TRENTINO XMAS TRAIL
The Christmas trail is coming to Torbole with Garda Trentino XMAS.
Garda Trentino XMas Trail is a 30-kilometer-long track that wants to symbolically hug the whole Alto Garda area!
The event is on the 17th December from and to Torbole, starting lakefront at the Circolo Surf Torbole. A low-altitude Trail suitable for the winter season, created on a very scenic track with two refreshment areas (more or less every 10 kilometers)
The 2017 news, the Garda Trentino Xmas Trail, is a trail race on the Garda Trek track. The outdoor sports are accessible all year round in Garda Trentino, and this event, rich in emotions, is the conclusive evidence. The starting point of the race will be in the picturesque small port of Torbole and will wind along the Garda Trek Corona Bassa itinerary.
It is well known that Christmas is a period of great rising: panettone, pandoro and… every gormandizer’s tummy as well! What better excuse than keeping fit to jump into the Garda Trentino Christmas races?
SANTA RACE, TO FEEL LIKE A “FIT” SANTA!
If the Garda Trentino Xmas Trail should be considered for “real athletes”, there’s another, more playful, race that will make you feel real… Santa! We are talking about the Santa Clause Race, an event at its second edition this year.
On the 17th December 2017 from 10 am to 6 pm, the 4.7-kilometer-long track along the streets of downtown Riva del Garda will see lots of Santa at work (imperative is to wear the costume you’ll be given when signing up).
Restoring moments will be waiting for the athletic Santa: refreshment with hot drinks at half of the track (at San Nicolò harbour), a lunch at the end with local products and a drink. The arrival is on Piazza 3 Novembre, where an amazing refreshment with typical products will be waiting for you. Registrations will open on the 25th November at the Bresciani Giocattoli shop on Piazza Garibaldi in Riva del Garda. The total price is 15€.
And if the tasting is not enough, this year the race involves also a tour around the Di Gusto in Gusto food and drink market, where you could find lots of tidbits made in Lake Garda.
Christmas is just round the corner, and so the calories. What better time to burn them off enjoying the splendors of Garda Trentino: its views, its glimpses, its mountains!
