Once, an anonymous wrote: “Don’t stop when the pathway ends: map out a new one”. And Garda Trentino abounds in paths, trails, routes and glimpses to be explored. From high mountains to be defied while hiking up, to little alleys to be covered discovering the pleasure of an easy sustained walk. This is what sport in the open air means! Or, better, outdoor!
What if there was a festival that celebrates it? From September, the 30th to October, the 3rd 2016, the Adventure Awards Days, the international adventure and exploration festival, gets underway in Arco.
A proper celebration of the outdoor life and of that unique sense of freedom that instil the feeling of us being an integral part of what is around. Garda Trentino has always been a synonym for outdoor holidays.
The union of green high mountains, clear lake and river waters, smell of Mediterranean trees and herbs brings out a place to be discovered, lived and loved while on holiday. A holiday which isn’t necessarily dedicated to action sports, but also and mainly in the spirit of practising a sport energising yourself directly from nature.
The philosophy that subtends this event is exactly the desire to celebrate the emotion of the all-year-round outdoor activities running over four intense days. The hub of the festival is Arco, but the whole Garda Trentino will be enchanted by the magic of this event. From Rifugio Altissimo to Rifugio San Pietro, from Lake Garda to the Marocche biotope in Dro. Each single place will kick off an emotion: live the nature through a mutually dependent contact with it. The programme is packed of events, ranging from the international exploration and adventure film festival to the meeting with special testimonials, Adam Ondra above all the others! The Garda Trentino climbing ambassador will meet his supporters on Saturday, the 1st of October at 5 pm, you can’t miss it!
On the following days there will be trail running training camps with great champions, outdoor cooking workshops, photography workshops, meetings with great explorers and athletes, storytelling workshops, concerts at dawn and sunset while hiking, and night ridings.
You can’t miss Arco Rock Star as well: a two-day climbing photo contest. Photographer and athlete teams, both professionals and beginners, will face each other along several Garda Trentino cliffs on the look out for the most exciting snapshot.
Another innovation will be BEST4: a programme showing the best of the Garda Trentino Outdoor Park sport opportunities. BEST4 is structured in two different sections: Disability and Non-disability. “Best4” are the four best opportunities for four outdoor disciplines, each one presented by a mentor who won’t only stand up for it, but who will also dedicate all its passion and desire to put himself on the line!
There will be room also for that activity where body, brain and soul melt in a single emotion: yoga! The enchanting notes of Remo Anzovino’s piano will be played along your outdoor activities as an harmonic background music.
Four intense days, when you will live the emotion of being all in one with the surrounding among rocks, stars, sun, mountains and crystal clear waters of Garda Trentino. In a perfect synthesis of man, nature, emotion and… sweat!
