CHRISTMAS MARKET… THE ATMOSPHERE GETS TASTY
The most loved festival of the year. Christmas at Garda Trentino means Christmas markets in Arco and Canale di Tenno or Di Gusto in Gusto in Riva del Garda.
The latter was inaugurated on 17th November and will close on 5th January. In the old town centre of Riva you can discover, taste and buy the food and drink excellences of this land in the suggestive Christmas atmosphere. Not far from here, there is Santa Claus’ House
In this village you can taste the good food of Trentino and enjoy the best Christmas spirit? Last year’s must-to-taste? Fired lake fish with trout hamburger! What will this year’ best product at Di Gusto in Gusto?
In Arco, the famous Hapsburg-inspired Christmas market is open from 16th November to 6th January 2019. The Christmas spirit is here. Come and treasure it in your heart forever! Everyday, at this market at the foot of the fairy-tale castle you can taste many delicious products – chestnuts and dried chesnut, mulled wine, strudel and stuffed bretzel. Do you love sweets? Try the strauben or treccia mochena! Combined with parampampoli. Well, there’s plenty of tasty products for you at Christmas!
In Canale di Tenno, Christmas is a jump to the Medieval times. From 24th November to 16th December 2018, this timeless village – one of the most beautiful villages in Italy – is the best place where to live a wholesome Christmas time.
The dish you can’t miss? Carne salada e fasoi, first prepared in the sixteenth century! And the Bro Brusà – a typical winter dish, a toasted-flavoured soup with smoked bacon – and panada, a yummy bread soup.
Hobbyists love creating objects you can buy in the old building cellars in the narrow streets that look like grabbing you into the Christmas spirit.

On 23rd December, come and enjoy this food&drink colourful walk in Nago-Torbole, in the old town centre of Nago. From 11:30 to 15:00, up and down the ancient streets, take the tour of traditions and typical products accompanied by Christmas carols.
Garda soup with vegetables, trout crust and medicinal herbs from Mount Baldo, tagliatelle with wild boar ragout, polenta from Mulino Pellegrini, white chocolate sauce with broccoli of Torbole and much more!
BROCCOLO OF TORBOLE FESTIVAL
After Christmas time, the Broccolo Festival in Torbole is what you will be looking for. On 19th January 2019 from 12:00 to 15:00, you can celebrate the Son of the Wind with us. In cooperation with Comitato del Broccolo Torbolano, local chefs will prepare delicious recipes with this great and multi-vitamin ingredient. 10th OLIVE JUICE CONTEST
Who loves the extravirgin olive oil? In Cologna di Tenno, they even organize a contest for this precious ingredient! On 25th, 26th and 27th January 2019, the Comitato Culturale Cologna – Gavazzo – Foci and Consorzio di Tutela Prodotti Agricoli del Tennese organize the 10th “Olive Juice Contest”, a real comparison for olive oil producers and the supporters of olive oil Garda Trentino. Nowhere exists an oil produced in such a northern place, over the 46th parallel!
In conclusion, here’s a round up of winter festivals. On 10th March 2019 from 14:00 to 17:00, get ready for the free distribution of two incredible delicacies – polenta and mortadella… and a lot of music.
