Every winter there are a lot of maintenance work on the several Outdoor Park Garda Trentino trails, to guarantee both tourists and outdoor sport lovers the opportunity to tread these itineraries safely, enjoying the beauty of the landscape without those dangers caused by negligence.
This year, from the 6th of November 2017, the Ponale path closes. After a season with over 340,000 people, both on foot or riding their mountain bike, the moment has come to stop and freshen up one of the most known and appreciated paths all over the world.
To this day, we don’t have a scheduled date of reopening yet. It is likely to be before the 2018 summer season, but don’t worry: all the Garda Trentino staff will keep you updated with the work evolution. All the details about the reopening to the public of this path loved by famous people like the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph, Princess Sissi’s husband, will be out as soon as possible.
Alternative hiking paths
Anyway, don’t worry, on Lake Garda Trentino there are plenty of amazing hiking paths you can challenge during the next months, to enjoy the Mediterranean climate and the unspoilt nature.
Which ones? For example, the Busatte-Tempesta, or the (more or less demanding) trek up to Mount Brione, or also the GardaTrek medium and low crown.
And how not to cite the “sentiero della maestra” (it seems we know the teacher Ketty Tantardini Bombardelli, don’t we?), the Santa Lucia path and many more!.
Mountain-biking trails
Don’t forget the two wheels then! Thanks to mild temperatures, it is possible to enjoy your mountain-bike also in winter. The ascent to malga Grassi or the trail up to Mount Velo for more skilled hikers for example.
The Marocche bikeway, the Busa and Lake Tenno tour for those of you who want to cycle nimbly or with the whole family in tow, including the little ones. On Lake Garda Trentino, you’ll find trails for every “leg”. Here the full list you can tread riding your beloved mountain bike.
Winter on Lake Garda is the perfect occasion to get your fill of activities in the open air without too many “neighbours”. In this way, you could live and love the territory in a close exchange with yourself and the nature.
